Two-Factor Authentication Setup

2 views Updated Mar 31, 2026

Overview

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Kartivo account. Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot log in without the second factor.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Go to Account → Security in your dashboard.
  2. Under Two-Factor Authentication, click "Enable".
  3. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.).
  4. Scan the QR code displayed on screen, or enter the setup key manually.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
  6. Save the backup codes displayed on screen in a secure location. These codes can be used if you lose access to your authenticator app.

Logging In with 2FA

After enabling 2FA, the login process adds one step:

  1. Enter your email and password as usual.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app when prompted.
  3. Optionally check "Trust this device for 30 days" to skip the code on your personal devices.

If You Lose Access to Your Authenticator

  • Use one of your backup codes to log in.
  • If you have no backup codes, contact Kartivo support with your account email and identity verification.
  • Once logged in, disable and re-enable 2FA to generate a new QR code and backup codes.

We strongly recommend enabling 2FA on all accounts, especially those with admin or financial access.
