Overview
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Kartivo account. Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot log in without the second factor.
Enabling 2FA
- Go to Account → Security in your dashboard.
- Under Two-Factor Authentication, click "Enable".
- Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.).
- Scan the QR code displayed on screen, or enter the setup key manually.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
- Save the backup codes displayed on screen in a secure location. These codes can be used if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Logging In with 2FA
After enabling 2FA, the login process adds one step:
- Enter your email and password as usual.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app when prompted.
- Optionally check "Trust this device for 30 days" to skip the code on your personal devices.
If You Lose Access to Your Authenticator
- Use one of your backup codes to log in.
- If you have no backup codes, contact Kartivo support with your account email and identity verification.
- Once logged in, disable and re-enable 2FA to generate a new QR code and backup codes.
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA on all accounts, especially those with admin or financial access.
